5 days since the last release, newest Nimi Places build 20250210 brings multiple fixes to improve application performance and stability.

 

After 5 days since the last release, today we release the lat­est build of Nimi Places 20250210.

Build brings multi­ple fixes to improve applica­tion performance ​and stabi­lity. Two cache issues, that were severely degrading performance (making caches non-functional) were fixed. Also various theming ​and color­ization relat­ed code was revised.

  • Changed to use arcs instead of curv­es ​for draw­ing round­ed edges.
  • Changed to use small border radius ​for default con­text menu ​on newer operating systems.
  • Fixed applica­tion icon inner background corn­ers rendering being to small.
  • Fixed brushes not being updat­ed ​on system color change ​for line separator con­trol.
  • Fixed con­tain­ers count not changed ​for notifica­tion tray icon text after quick set­up.
  • Fixed graphics path ​for creating large applica­tion icon being creat­ed twice (resource leak).
  • Fixed header con­trol not dis­pos­ing creat­ed font (resource leak).
  • Fixed methods called after quick set­up being called direct­ly instead of being invoked.
  • Fixed saving shell queries strings ​in mutexes caus­ing those corrup­tion.
  • Fixed shar­ed thumbnails cache not being used, since 20250117 build, due to us­ing full cached thumbnail path, instead of its code, when resolving.
  • Fixed system accent color blending.
  • Remov­ed unused brush from header con­trol.
  • Optimized dis­tribu­tion package con­trols.
  • Revised default Place type con­tainer selec­tion rendering.
  • Updat­ed dis­tribu­tion package line separator con­trol.
