Nimi Places, Nimi Visuals 20121224 released

 

Today, we release [one day delay­ed] updat­es of two projects: Nimi Places ​and Nimi Visuals. Both focus mainly ​on resolving issues ​and improving user experience.

Two transi­tions were add­ed to Nimi Visuals:

  • shuffle — which shuffles window parts out when show­ing ​and stacks those while fading out when hiding
  • aurora — which diffus­ingly fad­es window ​in when show­ing, ​and out when hiding; ​and is avail­able ​for start menu as well

Addition­ally, pixi dust effect was revised — particles rota­tion ​and kinetics were add­ed.

As ​for Nimi Places — it now supports dis­play­ing shortcuts as local elements (including folder shortcuts), shortcut component was revised as well.

Second notice­able addi­tion is change of con­tain­ers posi­tion saving routine — con­tain­ers posi­tion is now remember­ed ​and dynamic­ally restor­ed per dis­play device ​and its resolu­tion.

Minor important changes are update of Nimi Visuals database module ​and revision of local­ization module of both projects.
