8^th August of 2008 — start of first project — is considered as an actual foundation date of Nimi projects group, while official webpage emerged in May of 2009.

Name

Name was chosen as an result of short research, followed by brainstorm and social poll — for name easy to remember, but at the same time pronounceable and writeable in many languages.

Principles

Following principles can be considered as an foundation of Nimi philosophy:

• follow business ethics the best we can to our knowledge,
• follow minimalism principles,
• try to improve.

One of main areas of Nimi interests is software engineering, especially of types like:

• Desktop software e.g. Nimi Places or Nimi Visuals.
• Browser extensions e.g. Nimi Web Cleanser.
• Web solutions and applications e.g. official website CMS.
