Nimi Places, Nimi Visuals 20121224 released

 

Today, we release [one day delayed] updates of two projects: Nimi Places and Nimi Visuals. Both focus mainly on resolving issues and improving user experience.

Two transitions were added to Nimi Visuals:

  • shuffle - which shuffles window parts out when showing and stacks those while fading out when hiding
  • aurora - which diffusingly fades window in when showing, and out when hiding; and is available for start menu as well

Additionally, pixi dust effect was revised - particles rotation and kinetics were added.

As for Nimi Places - it now supports displaying shortcuts as local elements (including folder shortcuts), shortcut component was revised as well.

Second noticeable addition is change of containers position saving routine - containers position is now remembered and dynamically restored per display device and its resolution.

Minor important changes are update of Nimi Visuals database module and revision of localization module of both projects.
